Prior to becoming Digital Design & Construction Specialists, our team entered the construction industry as interior designers. It did not take long to see that the finish details we were developing with our clients are often first to get cut because rework and change-orders disrupt progress and consume budgets.
To design responsibly we need to know how buildings come together. We also need to address challenges early in the development phases of construction planning.

The BuildHappy team of digital construction specialists work with you to design a beautiful space and with the information and visuals generated from your 3D Digital Model we are able to support and guide you through the construction process from start to finish.

When overseeing a renovation or a new home construction project, Homeowners often need to allocate significant time and effort to the management of the complex and extensive network of builders, engineers, suppliers, and designers necessary to bring your vision to reality.
Our first step is to create a supportive and positive project environment that encourages happy Homeowners. Our design discovery process cultivates your vision, which we use to efficiently hone and document your design aesthetic and intent. Once we understand the scale and scope of the project, we begin to strategize how best to bring your team together. We can connect you with service providers in our network or collaborate with your existing service providers.

We use a sophisticated Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to start building your vision with you.
The 3D Digital Model is an essential tool used in the virtual design & construction approach. The digital model aids the project team in construction document development, and the material selection process, all while simultaneously generating the most incredible images! Start walking through your virtual space, “bump” and “nudge” the walls, see the materials you have selected, play with wall colors, all within the digital model.
We can build your 3D Digital Model from existing 2D plan sheets, if available. If not, we will use 360 Laser Scan to document and model an existing structure. When building a new home, you can start fresh and work with our team to layout your new home.
Regardless of your starting point, digital model construction can aid in your project development by generating important project information with unparalleled speed and accuracy.

While building the digital model of your home, the information needed by builders, engineers, suppliers and designers is also generated. This includes 2D prints, as well as material quantities and pricing.
We use a client-friendly construction management software to ensure you are informed along the way and that we are able to efficiently share this information with your project team.
When assisting you in builder selection or bid administration, you can feel confident that your project pricing is comprehensive and provided to you more efficiently. We make sure that everyone is on the same page before field construction begins.

Lindsay Prichard-Fox
+ Project Director, Founder + CEO
Lindsay Prichard-Fox is the Founder, and CEO of Build Happy, a digital design and construction company based in Rochester, N.Y. By combining her extensive training in interior design, 3D laser scanning and Autodesk REVIT software, she has quickly become a pioneer for utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the residential construction space across the U.S. As the Regional Lead for the international organization Women in BIM, Lindsay is a committed advocate for technologies and processes that will continue to transform the construction industry. By fostering a more collaborative, sustainable, and empathetic approach to building, Lindsay and her Build Happy team aim to have a positive impact on the construction industry both locally and globally. Lindsay is an active Corporate member of the National Association of Women in Construction, and serves on the Board of Directors for Daystar Kids, the only pediatric health enrichment center in New York State dedicated to providing therapeutic care to children with complex healthcare needs.
Jessica Burkovich
+ Interior Architect + Project Coordination
Jess Burkovich joined the Build Happy team after a Construction AmeriCorps Internship with Flower City Habitat for Humanity in Rochester, NY. She now brings her active field construction experience to the world of digital modeling. Jess will continue to support Flower City Habitat as part of Build Happy’s community programs group, as well as help clients with their home renovation and building projects through laser scanning, planning, estimating and digital modeling. A graduate of Marywood University, where she received Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Interior Architecture, Jess is passionate about adaptive reuse of spaces, while keeping efficiencies up and costs down. She sees home renovation and building as a way to help change people’s lives and build families and community. She strives to help others through service to realize their potential and worth.
